MX-V EVO FIM RACING #2

The new MX-V FIM #2 is Arai’s first off-road helmet homologated to the FIM FRHPhe-02 standard, which becomes mandatory from 2026, and is the go-to helmet for racing in FIM sanctioned off-road events.

Arai developed the MX-V FIM #2 from the MX-V EVO, building on a proven platform made with Arai’s priority for protection and accumulations of gains in protection over generations. The MX-V FIM #2 is the latest cutting edge of enduro and off-road helmet from Arai.

The MX-V FIM #2 uses Arai’s PB-cLc2 shell made with a special Z-compound resin for reduced overall weight, and keeps Arai’s signature round strong smooth shell combined with Arai’s proprietary one-piece multi-density EPS liner for increasing gains in protection. Glancing off performance is key to the MX-V FIM #2, and its rounder strong smooth shell contributes to the helmet’s ability to slide and skip over obstacles and reduce the impact energy getting into the helmet.

Ventilation is key when you ride hard in the dirt, and the MX-V FIM #2’s front and rear vents work together to pull cool air through the helmet. The peak also channels airflow in with a design that improves aerodynamics and reduces lift. On the inside, the interior crown pad has been updated with soft fabric for increased comfort. The updated interior is also fully removable, easy to wash, and adjustable, and the cheek pads are updated to the latest specifications.

Features

  • VENTILATION Riding hard in the dirt, ventilation really matters. Easy to clean diffusers create a strong venturi vacuum at the rear with a centre top vent for increased airflow. Under-peak air intakes collect and direct cool air into the helmet. An inner chin vent shutter prevents debris coming into the helmet in dusty riding conditions. Lower side vents also help with hot air extraction for a cooler ride.
  • PB-cLc2 Outer shell (Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction) Arai’s Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction greatly increases shell strength and flexibility while maintaining low weight and a lower centre of gravity. Positioned across the top of the eye port, this band contributes to the use of a thinner EPS liner which greatly enhances the upward field of view. A specially designed “mechanically expanded fibre mat”, sandwiched between the inner and outer layers of Arai’s proprietary Super Fibre Laminates, is used to reinforce and bond these two Super Fibre layers without adding significant weight to the helmet. The latest “Z-Mixture” resins increases material adhesion requiring less resin for a stronger bond between materials for a thinner and lighter shell.
  • Innovative peak The Arai peak scavenges and forces air into the forehead vent ports for cooling while at the same time using multiple relief-ports to reduce “lifting” at higher speeds.
  • Mouth vent Mounted from the outside to further improve penetration resistance. The one-piece, stainless steel mesh screen provides a durable barrier against roost while minimizing mud packing. The removable screen is easy to clean.
  • Goggle band guidance The eye-opening side trim design combined with the side and rear exhaust vents work to prevent the band from slipping up or down even during hard riding.
